Quindi: che scrosci pure un applauso entusiasta per la nuova edizione di 5 Piece Paper, il progetto artistico denso di creatività firmato 5 Preview!
Per quegli sparuti che ancora non lo conoscessero, 5 Piece Paper ha l’apparenza di un magazine ma il valore di un vero e proprio showcase di affinità elettive tra animi creativi: come fosse un gioco di specchi, ogni nuova collezione di 5 Preview si fa occasione per coinvolgere una manciata eccellente di creativi internazionali, che godono così il privilegio dell’invito ad interpretare liberamente il tema della collezione in questione.
Merito sempre di Emeli Mårtensson, fondatrice ed art director del brand, virtuosa del minimalismo come strumento di pensiero e comunicazione, che rende ogni pezzo e passo di 5 Preview un vero statement.
Accade anche nella nuova collezione f/w 2015-16, materia di ispirazione per la crew di creativi raccolta in 5 Piece Paper. “True Romance” è il titolo, e i capi che la compongono sono un racconto ardito, quasi sfrontato e per questo very cool, della fiducia in se stessi e nei propri valori come contraccolpo da sferrare alle imposizioni spesso annoiate del troppo celebrato mondo della moda: abiti invasi, attraversati da grafiche e stampe che sono messaggi dai regni della contro-cultura fashion, annunci di libertà che risuonano nelle interpretazioni visive raccolte nel relativo 5 Piece Paper.
La cui suddetta crew creativa che allaccia l’ispirazione alla collezione è per l’appunto composta da: la coppia di fotografi Nikodem Calczynski & Jonathan Krook, autori delle immagini dense di vibes misteriose e fumose di “Lost Boys”; lo stylist e creative director Ricardo L, che ha nascosto la sua interpretazione della True Romance sotto le maschere viniliche in “Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart”; la fotografa Frida Vega Salmonsson autrice dell’editorial “I never wake up like this”; l’artista Viktoria Ikonen che ha dipinto i suoi pezzi preferiti nella serie “Dark Alleys”; l’art director Ignazio Morello, che invece ha composto i suoi favoriti in “Determinism and other issues” e, finally, i grafismi di nero denso in “Embracing devils never to awake” firmati dal tatuatore Scarful.

So: let give an enthusiast round of applause to the new issue of 5 Piece Paper, the artistic project full of creativity by 5 Preview!
For those few people that still may not know it, 5 Piece Paper looks like a magazine but has the strong value of a true showcase of elective affinities among creative souls: is if it was a game of mirrors, every new collection designed by 5 Preview turns also into an occasion to involve an excellent handful of international creatives, that can enjoy the privilege to be invited to give their own free interpretation of the main theme of the current collection.
It’s always thanks to Emeli Mårtensson, founder and art director of the brand, mistress of minimalism as a tool of thinking and communication, that makes avery item and step of 5 Preview a real statement.
It happens also into the new collection f/w 2015-16, source of inspiration for the crew of creatives collected into 5 Piece Paper. “True Romance” is the title, and the clothes that are part of are also a bold and very cool representation of being true to our-selves and to our beliefs as a recoil to lash out at the often humdrum impositions coming from the too much celebrated fashion world: clothes flooded, crossed by graphics and prints that are messages from the realms of fashion counter culture, announcements of freedom that resound within the visual interpretations assembled into the related 5 Piece Paper issue.
Whose above mentioned creative crew that bounds its inspiration to the collection is made of: the couple of photographers Nikodem Calczynski & Jonathan Krook, authors of the pictures dense of mysterious and smoky vibes of “Lost Boys”; the stylist and creative director Ricardo L, that has hidden his representation of True Romance under the vinyl masks in “Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart”; the photographer Frida Vega Salmonsson author of the “I never wake up like this” editorial; the artist Viktoria Ikonen that has painted her favorite pieces into the “Dark Alleys” series; the art director Ignazio Morello that instead has composed his favorites into “Determinism and other issues”, and finally the dense dark graphics of “Embracing devils never to awake” by the tattoo maker Scarful.
