BE YOURSELF WITH A TWIST: lepilloledistefano per STYLE ME UP!

When I was asked to join the ‘Style Me Up’ project, the song “Dress You Up” by Madonna immediately came to mind and on that note I began to imagine what I would do. It was an immediate and passionate involvement, the same one I have with all the things I like and have a strong feeling for from the outset. Following on from the examples of stylist and bloggers Andrew Davis, Pelayo Diaz and Tokyo Dandy to name a few and in celebration of the new men’s Meltin’Pot autumn/winter 2011-12 collection, Style Me Up entrusts…well…ME! I, as I am not used to take photos of myself to show on my blog, but I prefer instead the role of a fashion insider, have chosen a model as the protagonist of these pictures, the funny, talented and unquestionably beautiful Ziga, dedicating myself to the styling of the shots taken by the amazing photographer Omar Machiavelli.

Not to mention a Freudian touch. The looks I propose are those that I would wear myself. These are the matches and styles that I would have chosen for me. And for this reason, I could not forget, in addition to the most valuable denim washes from the MP001 collection, to the contemporary touch of the workwear line, to the warm sweaters and plaid shirts with unexpected details, my personal accessories, what distinguishes me: the ubiquitous scarf, a vintage watch, bracelets…for a style that cannot be defined as minimalist, which – by now you have understood – is not my kind of style at all. Enjoy the final shots, also chosen for the Meltin’Pot’s e-shop.

10 Exclusive Styling tips for the Fall Winter 2011/12 season by Stefano Guerrini (well…me!).
1) Scarves are one of the hallmarks of my personal style. Especially if vintage. To wear also, especially in contrast.
2) A superstoned denim, but worn with a Bon Ton sweater I love the contamination of style!
3) Comfy is in! No more Superskinny pants!
4) Love to transcend trends. Twisted cords or bracelets that your loved ones gave you are always in fashion.
5) Boys in the hood! I love hooded sweaters in winter.
6) Watches are in. For years I didn’t wear them, limiting myself to checking on the cell phone. But recently I found some original seventies ones, still working, in a market. It was love at first sight!
7) A thin belt, but worn as a bracelet, a tie as a scarf and untied! For a touch of unpredictability.
8)A denim jacket even in the colder months. I suggest you wear it with a tartan shirt or black turtleneck tight sweater. To remember the look of Gerard Malanga, who collaborated with Warhol, the Factory Playboy.
9) A colorful accessories can brighten a day, even those rainy autumn ones.
10) Dare to be different. Dare to be a lone voice. Even when it comes to style.

“Mai del tutto minimalista” credo che renda veramente la tua filosofia di stile, anche se qui sei stato più minimalista del solito. E per quanto mi riguarda, apprezzo!

    4) Gli affetti trascendono i trend. I cordoncini intrecciati o il braccialetto che ti ha regalato la tua dolce metà sono sempre di moda. – Magnifica e umana asserzione! :)))
Lo styling, anche se è non sei minimalista, dimostra la tua versatilità ;).
