We love Victoria but… (a.k.a: Victoria takes out the English in me…)

Since a lot of friends are asking me to post in english I’ve decided from time to time to give it a try. Although in the last year and a half I’ve teached in English -thanks a lot to my dear students who helped me so much and managed to understand everything, or at least pretended to understand everything :O)- I know myself well, so I also know that my English is far from being that good. Please all you have to do now is forgive me and appreciate my poor attempt.
Said that I’m here to show u another cover of the month, another example, in my modest opinion, of good intentions gone a bit out of hand.
I simply love Vogue British, Lucinda Chambers (one of the magazine’s fashion directors) is among my idols, I totally worship her work, and often I’ve found Mario Testino’s images in this glossy more interesting than his work for Mrs Wintour.
I’m also in love with Victoria Beckham. I think she has managed to become an interesting designer and I admired her when she succeeded to stay away from rumours and gossips concerning her love life and family, showing the world how her three sons are well educated (and also well dressed, since Romeo –only 8 years old- is considered one of England most elegant men!), and how her love story with David is still strong after all these years.
So: could someone please explain me the February cover of the magazine?
Our Posh girl, the girl we have always admired for her daring style, her glamourous attitude, in a picture that is so common and understated that you could forget everything in the blink of an eye? It’s ok to say to the world ‘I’m a normal person just like everybody else’, but fashion is fantasy, it gives people something to dream and to aspire to. Do we need a simple shot like this one? And on a cover of one of the best selling Vogue in the world?
Please Victoria come back to drama outfits, to the sexy and curvy clothes you wore so well, please: we need you!
